Nicholas Woodsworth was born in Ottawa, Canada. He was a Financial Times foreign correspondent and the paper’s staff travel writer for 14 years, during which his stories frequently carried Middle East and Mediterranean datelines. He has written several books about Mediterranean life and culture. Double Cross is his first novel. He lives in Aix-en-Provence.
